Fees
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a fee of $318 for a standard 40-60 minute appointment. Please note that our session fees also reflect the time the clinician spends on case management and administrative tasks outside of the consultation itself.
You may be eligible for various rebates, with part of the fee potentially subsidised through government programs or private health insurance.

Rebates and Funding Options
Medicare
The Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative is a government program that allows eligible individuals to access up to 10 Medicare-subsidised individual and/or group therapy sessions per calendar year. To access these sessions, you will need to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and a valid referral from your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician. This involves a brief assessment and a discussion about your mental health concerns. To find out more, please visit the Better Access Initiative and the MBS Online websites.
After the first 6 sessions, your GP will need to complete a review before you can access the remaining 4 sessions.
Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder assessment
If you are under 25 years of age, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 8 assessment sessions specifically related to an autism assessment, under MBS Item 82000. To access this rebate, you’ll need a referral from a psychiatrist or GP, with a request stating the need for a "Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder assessment".
Please note that Medicare rebates do not apply to other types of assessments or report preparation fees.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
If you are an NDIS participant with a Self-Managed or Plan-Managed package, you can use your funding at Mayla Adriano Clinical Psychology. Please note: we are not able to accept Agency-Managed (NDIS-Managed) packages at this time.
Private Health Insurance
Some private health funds may offer rebates for psychological services received at Mayla Adriano Clinical Psychology. As rebates vary between providers, we recommend contacting your health fund directly for more information.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and from time to time, you may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. However, it’s important to be aware of our cancellation policy, as it helps us provide fair and consistent support to all clients.
When you book an appointment, your clinician reserves that time exclusively for you. They also spend time preparing materials and planning your session in advance. Late cancellations can have several impacts, including:
Your clinician's time and preparation;
Disruption to your treatment progress; and
Missed opportunities for other clients on our waiting list who may urgently need support.
For this reason, we require notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee (the full session cost).
To reschedule or cancel an appointment we kindly request that you reply via SMS to the appointment reminder message that you need to cancel or email admin@maylaadrianoclinicalpsychology.com.au
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us support all clients as effectively as possible.
